MENFI

Menfi e il suo territorio: da 17 generazioni sono la nostra casa, le nostre radici. Menfi è anche il luogo della sperimentazione e dell’innovazione viticola ed enologica che da sempre portiamo avanti, in particolare sui vini bianchi. Oltre metà dei nostri vigneti – 260 ettari su 392 in totale – sono in questo territorio. La Dispensa è al centro della nostra vita familiare, il luogo dove ci incontriamo e ci riuniamo; e di quella lavorativa: al centro di tutte le attività aziendali, è anche la cantina dove nascono il Rosé e La Segreta.

ULMO
A Ulmo abbiamo costruito nel 1995 la prima delle nostre cantine, a pochi metri dalle sponde del Lago Arancio e dal baglio fortificato che la famiglia possiede dal 1694. Per noi il luogo della memoria, ma anche della visione del futuro: a Ulmo nel 1984 abbiamo iniziato a sperimentare le prime varietà internazionali.
Un percorso che è iniziato con l’interpretazione delle grandi varietà francesi – prima fra tutte il nostro Chardonnay – ed è proseguito con una linea incentrata sulle varietà tradizionali siciliane: Alastro, Plumbago e Terebinto, tre dei fiori caratteristici del paesaggio mediterraneo che in primavera punteggiano le colline intorno a Ulmo.

DISPENSA
Menfi and its territory have been our home and our roots for seventeen generations. Menfi is also where wine-making experiments and innovations in vine cultivation and wine-making are continually pursued, particularly with white wines. Over half our vineyards – 260 hectares out of a total of 392 – lie in this territory.

ULMO
We built the first of our wineries in 1995 at Ulmo, just a few metres from the shores of Lago Arancio and from the fortified farmhouse owned by the family since 1694. For us it is the place of memories, but also of the vision of the future. In 1984 we began to experiment with the first international varieties.
This is a progress which began with an interpretation of the great French varieties, first of all our Chardonnay, and followed by others concentrating on traditional Sicilian varieties; Alastro, Plumbago and Terebinto, three of the characteristic flowers of the Mediterranean countryside which adorn the hills surrounding Ulmo in springtime.
